 At BPLS, we are dedicated to recognising and celebrating individuals and organisations that go above and beyond to drive equity, champion diversity, and create meaningful change within the Life Sciences industry. BPLS Trailblazer of the year

This award celebrates an individual who has made outstanding contributions within their workplace or the broader Life Sciences community by championing Black and ethnically diverse professionals. They have paved the way for others to thrive, creating lasting impact and inspiring change.


 THE JUDGING PANEL WILL GIVE CONSIDERATION TO: 


  • Leadership and Advocacy: Demonstrated efforts in mentoring, sponsoring, or advocating for Black and ethnically diverse professionals.
  • Innovative Impact: Evidence of groundbreaking initiatives or strategies that have removed barriers or created opportunities for marginalised communities.
  • Community Influence: Contributions beyond the workplace, such as involvement in industry panels, outreach programs, or community projects.
  • Inspiration: How the individual has served as a role model and motivated others to take action toward DEI goals.

This award honors an individual who has shown exceptional allyship by championing Black and ethnically diverse professionals in Life Sciences. Their actions have fostered inclusivity and supported the advancement of underrepresented groups.


 THE JUDGING PANEL WILL GIVE CONSIDERATION TO: 


  • Commitment to Allyship: Clear examples of consistent and proactive advocacy for Black and ethnically diverse professionals.
  • Actions and Results: Tangible outcomes resulting from their allyship, such as policy changes, increased awareness, or career advancements for those they have supported.
  • Cultural Awareness: Evidence of self-education, cultural humility, and efforts to create an inclusive environment.
  • Partnerships: Collaborations with ERGs, community organizations, or leaders to drive measurable change.
